What we hold about you, and what we do not.
This page describes the information Lightmorphic Ltd collects through this website and holds about the people and businesses we work for. It is written to be read rather than filed.
Who we are
Lightmorphic Ltd, company number 17423646, registered in England and Wales at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. For anything to do with data protection, email privacy@lightmorphic.com.
Visiting this site
We run no analytics of our own on this site. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party font or script fetched from another domain. Reading these pages leaves nothing with us.
The server that hosts the site keeps ordinary access logs, as every web server does, for security and diagnostics. We do not use them to build any picture of individual visitors.
Your colour theme
When you switch the site between light and dark, we save that one choice in your browser under the name lm-theme. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
When you get in touch
The chat and the contact form both send us what you type, along with the name and email address you give. We use it to answer you and to price the work you are asking about, and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, and, once you ask us to quote, taking steps towards a contract with you.
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months.
When you become a client
We hold your contact details, the requirements you send us, our correspondence, the quote and the invoices. We keep it for as long as we are working for you, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our accounting and legal records, which for tax purposes is six years.
Data inside the software we build
The information your system holds is yours, not ours. You are the controller of it and we act as your processor, under a written agreement that says what we may do with it. In practice we access it only when building or supporting the system, and never for any purpose of our own.
You own the code and the data, and there is an export for everything, so you can take it elsewhere at any point.
Who else sees it
A small number of suppliers necessarily handle information on our behalf: whoever hosts this site, the service that carries chat messages and form submissions to us, our email provider, and our accountants. Each is bound to use it only for that purpose. We will tell you who they are if you ask.
We do not sell information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to object to our using it, or to have it sent to someone else in a portable form.
Email privacy@lightmorphic.com and we will deal with it within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this page
The date this page was last updated is at the foot of it. If we ever change how we use information in a way that matters to you, we will say so here.
